Bring your items down to the Children's Room and we'll add them to our collection box.

The East Greenwich Free Library wants to thank Cartridge World RI for sponsorship of this educational project!

We look forward to watching kids and families learn about recycling and taking part in this hands on endeavor of recycling their own used markers, pens, and mechanical pencils.

Cartridge World RI and their sister company, Office Recycling Solutions, have become leaders in the community in the drive to maintain environmental integrity by recycling older ink and toner cartridges and all electronic-waste on a regular basis and especially during "Earth Day Saturday" around April 20th of each year! Cartridge World RI and Office Recycling Solutions, along with The East Greenwich Rotary Club and The East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, partner together to keep all items that can be recycled or refurbished out of the landfills, waterways and garbage dumpsters; therefore, producing a cleaner earth and a cleaner environment. "It is best to learn as a family that items like pens, markers and mechanical pencils have a place at the end of their life and it is not in the garbage can," says Harry Waterman, Chairperson of the East Greenwich E-Waste and Paper Shredding Day at New England Institute of Technology.
