In celebration of East Greenwich’s 350th anniversary, the East Greenwich Free Library is pleased to host a series of mini pop-up museum displays, courtesy of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society!
These engaging exhibits offer a glimpse into the people, places, and events that have shaped our community over the centuries. From East Greenwich’s founding and its unique town layout to its Indigenous history and role in the American Revolution, each display highlights a different piece of our town’s rich past.
Visitors can explore the history of the Coweset people, learn about East Greenwich’s early town planning, discover the impact of the Industrial Revolution, and meet some of the local figures who contributed to the American Revolution. Together, these displays tell the story of how East Greenwich grew and evolved into the community we know today.
Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to town, these mini museums offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with local history and celebrate 350 years of East Greenwich!
