Basket Stamping Workshop

logoChrystal Mars Baker of the Tomaquag Museum will present a program focusing on the tradition of Basket Stamping. Decorating splint baskets with beautiful designs stamped onto the sides of the baskets is a traditional art form indigenous to the tribes of Southern New England.

Children are encouraged to join us for a fun preschool art program! Throughout the program they will make a take-home-craft and be able to visit various stations that have been set up to help them explore their senses and creativity.

Recycled Planters - FULL

Join us for a program that highlights the importance of recycling and make a fun and playful planter by reusing plastic soda bottles!  To finish it off we'll plant your own flower to take home.

Dancin' with Hoops

Join Judi Jones aka ENERGIZER for a musically fueled interactive Hoop Dancing (hula hooping) program. Dancin’ with Hoops blends creative movement, dance, exercise, self expression and cooperative play. All for the FUN of it. Hula hoops will be provided for use. Following, Judi will delight you with a high energy and comedic hula hoop performance.
