Alan Newton:
After 40 years as an ordained minister and educator, Alan Newton, after retiring, enrolled in the URI Master Gardener Program. Having a lifelong interest in gardening he decided that he would like to share knowledge about gardening with others. He graduated and was certified with the class of 2020. Currently he is in his third year as the Garden Coordinator of the Comprehensive Community Action Program in Cranston, which has 4000 sq feet of space which provides fresh fruit and vegetables to the CCAP Food Bank.
